Welcome to Cambridge Private Tutors
Hello, my name is Richard, and I am the Founder of Cambridge Private Tutors.
I am currently a Year 13 student at The Perse Upper School in Cambridge, studying A-Level Maths,
Further Maths, Economics and Computer Science, with predicted grades of A*A*A*A*.
My passion for teaching began through piano tuition, where I mentored young musicians and helped them build both skill and confidence. I now tutor students up to A-level and for competitive 11+ entrance exams, with many achieving excellent grades and securing places at leading independent schools.
All Year 12, Year 13 and University tutors at Cambridge Private Tutors are personally selected by myself to ensure consistently high standards. Each tutor has achieved at least a Grade 9 in their subject, a strong majority of Grade 8/9 (A*) results at GCSE, and achieved or predicted A* grades at A-Level.
Our aim is simple: high-quality tuition, strong mentorship, and results that last.

Our tutors are all A/A* students or undergraduates with recent exam experience and 1,000+ hours combined tutoring delivered. We know some parents hesitate about student tutors. We keep our prices lower for that reason, but our tutors more than make up for it with relatability, recent exam experience and a clear understanding of the difficulties students face today.

As a dedicated student myself, I understand the challenges that many young learners face in today’s academic environment. Through my experiences as a tutor and mentor, I have developed effective teaching strategies that cater to individual learning styles and needs. My background in music has taught me patience, discipline, and the importance of practice – qualities that I aim to instill in all my students.
My portfolio of GCSE's include Grade 9 in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry while I am doing Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Computer Science at A-Level and I am on predicted and on track to achieve 4 A*s.
Our tutors are all personally selected by myself, having the same or better grades along with the compassion and skills necessary to teach your child.
