  • What subjects do we teach?
    We specialise in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics & Combined Science. We also teach Computer Science and Geography if you send us an email. If you would like to see whether we teach other subjects, please get in touch as one of our tutors may be qualified to teach that subject.
  • What are our prices?
    We offer multiple lesson tiers to hopefully find a price and amount of time which works for you. We start from £15 for 30 minute weekly lessons and £30 for 1 hour weekly lessons for KS3 & GCSE tuition. Other specialised tutoring (such as entrance exam preparation) are variable and can be found on our Lessons and Pricing page.
  • What exam boards do we teach for GCSE's?
    Myself and our Tutors all teach the AQA and Edexcel exam boards for all subjects. Please check our Subjects page for specific information
  • How do I book a lesson?
    You can book a lesson in our Lessons and Pricing page, where you can select the lesson type you want and then directed to our email where you can inquire.
  • What times do we tutor?
    Cambridge Private Tutors have multiple tutors who have a flexible schedule to hopefully find a time which works for you. We mainly teach after schools from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and also teach on weekends. Please do email us first to find out when we are available!
  • How do I pay for lessons?
    Payments are made on a monthly basis at the start of the month. You can either pay cash or via bank transfer to our account. We will send you a message containing the invoice and amount due for the upcoming month. If payment is not made by the first lesson of the month, we will not continue lessons until the full payment is made.
  • What if I have to miss/cancel a lesson?
    We require a 24 hour notice for cancellation of lessons or rescheduling. If a 24 hour notice is not provided, then we will not be able to refund the lesson. Please check out our cancellation policy. We also understand for some occasions, there are emergencies or other important reasons for missing tuition. In these occasions, we will accept refund requests or rescheduling.
  • What resources do we provide during lessons?
    For KS3 and GCSE tuition, we have a library of self-made and online resources which we provide to you for free. Textbooks and practice books may have to be bought at your expense, however we will guide you to the best resources to purchase.
  • How long are lessons?
    We offer two set tiers: 30 minute weekly lessons and 1 hour weekly lessons. If you wish to have longer/more frequent tuition, please inquire to us via email on the Lessons and Booking page.
  • What if the tutor misses the lesson?
    Our tutors will aim to let you know 24 hours in advance whether they are going to miss a lesson. If they do, we will strive to reschedule the lesson but if a time cannot be found, we will reimburse the lesson for the following month.
  • Do we set assignments/homework?
    Yes, we do assign homework and assignments. We try to minimise the amount of assignments which are given as we understand a students life is very busy. We aim for around 30 minutes to 1 hour of additional homework per week. If the student needs extra work or are close to an exam, additional assignments may be requested to be completed.
  • Do prices differ between tutors?
    No, our prices remain constant for all our tutors as indicated in our Lessons and Pricing page to make it an easy and straightforward process! We want to be as honest and clear about our pricing as we understand it is a big factor when searching for a tutor.
  • What qualifications do our tutors have?
    All tutors are personally selected by myself and have achieved at least a Grade 9 GCSE in any subject they are teaching and have a majority portfolio of 8/9 (A*) grades. This ensures our tuition provides excellent guaranteed quality.
